Hay was elected to the City Commission representing District 2 in November 2007 and won reelection in March 2011. Commissioner Hay served as mayor from February 7, 2012 to March 19, 2013, after being appointed to fill a vacancy in that office. Commissioner Hay brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Commission. He served on the Planning and Development Board (P&DB) for the last 8 years and was Vice-Chairman up until his election to the Commission on November 6, 2007. Commissioner Hay retired from the School District of Palm Beach County, where he worked as an Application Systems Specialist and Technical Trainer for Microsoft Office products as well as other computer software programs. He previously retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft/United Technologies after 27 years of service. He held many positions with his last being as a Computer Programming Analyst within the Engineering Department. Commissioner Hay is an Associate Minister at St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Boynton Beach where he serves as the Director of Fellowship Ministries, Sunday School adult class instructor, and a lead singer in the St John Male Chorus.
